Webinar: laser 3scanning’s practical applications in architectural projects

Architects, designers, restorers, and professionals from various fields often encounter the need for precise measurements of object dimensions, altitudes, distances, heights, as well as spatial data on intricate details and angles in their daily work. Consequently, it comes as no surprise that cutting-edge measurement techniques like laser scanning have become invaluable assets.

The potential applications of this technology are extensive, and its benefits are readily apparent in modeling, design, calculation, expert evaluations, virtual reality implementation, and beyond.

On 12th of September, at 9.30 am., we invite you to join a webinar dedicated to a comprehensive exploration of laser scanning technology and its practical adaptability in everyday architectural tasks.

During the webinar, we will present the following topics:

9.30 – 10.00 am. –  Application of 3D imaging technology for architectural digitization, research, and media content creation.

Dr. Tadas Žižiūnas | Head of Cultural Heritage Digitization Projects, Vilnius University

10.00 – 10.30 am. – How to apply laser scanning data in the architect’s daily work: practical tips.

Robertas Zilinskas | Architect, UAB “Atodangos”

Ulė Lengvenė | Partner, Architect, UAB “NOARCHITECTS”

10.30 – 11.15 am. – What is important to know before ordering 3D measurements: Terra Modus experience and recommendations for preparing technical specifications?

Martynas Valauskis | Head of Survey Center, Terra Modus

Laser scanning technology undoubtedly becomes an indispensable tool in the modern architect’s arsenal, ensuring high project quality while saving time. The point cloud is universal foundational information from which a wide range of digital products can be created for further design work: orthophotographic images, digital surface or terrain models, CAD drawings, 3D visualizations, or 3D/BIM models. In this way, design work becomes faster, more accurate, and significantly less costly, or errors are altogether avoided.

Registration for the webinar is closed.
